Episode 20 – Before It’s All Over Its Gonna Get Rough

Here it is! Episode 20! Please hold the applause, you are all too kind. I would like to thank my web master, Danny, for his amazing work and continued feedback and for always assisting in little changes and upgrades. I would also like to thank all of you that listen and provide feedback, have sent in your requests and comments. And a special thanks to my friend Chris from City Of Treason for his marketing feedback and suggestions, more of which will be implemented as we carry on. And one final thank you to all the musicians that have been so supportive, and that have been guests on the show thus far! Your support is truly appreciated, and I look forward to supporting in the future.

Hour 1 – One of the great opening album tracks ever! “I’ve Had Enough (Into The Fire)” from Kiss’ Animalize, undeniable. This hour features new music from Bad Barber, Black Sabbath, Daniel Davies, and The Dave Rude Band, and some other great cuts from Corrosion Of Conformity, The Cult, StoneRider and Trouble.

Hour 2 – The Walking Papers start this hour off, its one of my favorite new releases, and this is one of the stand out tracks on the album, “Your Secret’s Safe With Me”. We also feature some new music from Scorpion Child, Vista Chino, Queensryche, Orchid, and our friends Monster Truck. I also play some cool album tracks from Union, Rival Sons, Deep Purple, and Dio.

Hour 3 – In memory of Ronnie Montrose we open the hour with “Rock Candy”, and if you haven’t seen it yet, check out the Concert for Ronnie Montrose on AXS TV, some incredible performances from the members of Gamma and Montrose with many special guests. Lots of classics in this hour from Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Scorpions, Fastway, and Cry Of Love.

Brother Cane – “And Fools Shine On”

Here is the video for the Brother Cane classic “And Fools Shine On”.   This song was also used on the soundtrack for Halloween 6:  The Curse Of Michael Myers.  The video lends itself to the horror film vibe, and the song shines thru the dark imagery.

Black Star Riders – “Kingdom Of The Lost”

Black Star Riders are the members of the touring version of Thin Lizzy, and their self titled release is a great continuation of the Thin Lizzy legacy, and they are lead by Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham.  “Kingdom Of The Lost” is one of the tracks penned by Damon Johnson and Ricky Warrick for the album, this is the Official Lyric video.

Episode 19 – Artist Feature – Damon Johnson Of Black Star Riders

I am very excited to have a very talented singer, songwriter, guitarist, and my friend Damon Johnson of Black Star Riders as my guest on this weeks episode of The Noize Faktory.  Damon is also the frontman for Brother Cane, Slave To The System, and played guitar for Alice Cooper and John Waite, as well as being a member of the country rock act Whiskey Falls.  And that is just scratching the surface.

This is the first show that I have done were we had to add a 4th hour because of the vast group of songs and projects that we discussed and covered.

Black Star Riders are about to hit the road in Europe to support their debut CD, and continue on the legacy of Thin Lizzy.  In the meantime Damon has been busy doing Brother Cane shows as well as solo gigs here in the States.   He shares some great stories with us that span his now 25 year plus career, and he does it all with class.

We play you some new songs from the Black Star Riders, lots of the hits from Brother Cane, and an unreleased track that you will not hear anywhere else, even Damon didn’t have a copy of this one!  We have tracks that Damon co-wrote and appeared on from Sammy Hagar, Red Halo, Alice Cooper,  Whiskey Falls, and a track that he co-wrote that Santana did with Steve Tyler on vocals.

I hope that you guys enjoy this show and interview as much as I did putting it together.  Damon Johnson is someone that rock music fans should all be aware of, and supporting.

Thank you Damon for spending the time with me and sharing so many great stories, and I hope that you enjoyed this trip through your career as much as the audience will.

Walking Papers – “The Whole World Is Watching”

A new episode, and a brand new band to debut. Walking papers is great new band that features some familiar names and faces, with a powerful new sound for them all. Jeff Angell on vocals and guitar from the band Post Stardom Depression, and Barrett Martin on drums are the song writing duo for this new act. They are joined by Ben Anderson on keys, and Duff McKagan of GNR / VR fame on bass. Mike McCready even plays a couple of guitar solos on the disc.

The songs are deep on this album, the sound is well refined, and yet has a rawness to it that is compelling. This is one of my favorite tracks from the disc, it is called “The Whole World Is Watching”. We should all be listening!

This is a video of the band performing for the Antiquiet Sessions.

Episode 18 – Children Get Together, You Can Save Us All

Welcome to Episode 18 of The Noize Faktory! We are almost to 20 episodes, that is amazing! The reach is growing, more bands are starting to hear about the show because of you the listeners, and I thank you for that.

Hour 1 – We start the show in grand rock and roll fashion with Black Sabbath’s “Never Say Die”. They have just completed their tour of the US supporting their new CD, 13, and are on a little break before continuing overseas. I have some new tracks from Scorpion Child, Orchid, and Tom Keifer in this hour as well, and a new song from a band called Walking Papers that features Duff McKagan and Barett Martin. I wrap the hour in glam rarities from Vandenberg and the Vinnie Vincent Invasion.

Hour 2 – UFO starts the hour with a great track from WALK ON WATER, and the Tygers Of Pan Tang even make an appearance. Some new music from Todd Kerns, a cool acoustic arrangement of one of Tesla’s big hits, and a song from a lesser known American act called Moreland & Arbuckle. Savatage is included in this hour with a track that was meant for the Streets album, but was cut because the album ran long, and we close the hour with another request and dedication to a fan that the show turned on to Richie Kotzen.

Hour 3 – Since I am doing this show from Atlanta this week I had to play some more StoneRider, who are from here. This hour is all over the place, Van Halen, Ten Years After, Judas Priest, Monster Truck, Pat Travers, and Steppenwolf to name a few. I have a new track from a young band called The Dirty Streets who are out of Memphis, and I close the show with an amazing song form my friend Tony Montana called “One By One (Bring In The Rain)”. I think you guys will really love that track, enjoy the show and thanks for tuning in.

Episode 17 – If You Got The Money Honey, We Got Your Disease

Here we are, Episode 17! I have put together another solid show for you tonight. This was one is heavy on classics and forgotten album tracks. I think you guys are going to like it.

Hour 1 – We start the show this week with the greatest opening track of all time, Guns N’ Roses hit “Welcome To The Jungle”, followed with “Stone Cold Fever” from Humble Pie, and the killer “King Louie” from Taddy Porter. I love that first block! We keep rolling with Rival Sons, Cheap Trick, and Alice Cooper. A few new songs are mixed in, I have a new one from The Cult called “Lucifer”, “Money” from the band The Delta Riggs, and another new track from Andrew Stockdale called “Somebody’s Calling”. I wrap the hour with a request as well.

Hour 2 – This hour starts out with a track from Deep Purple’s ABANDON album, a great song called “Don’t Make Me Happy”. I round out the starting block with the song “Whitesnake” from David Coverdale, the tune that started the long history of The Snake, and then we have the sometimes ignored classic “Wasted” by Def Leppard. We have some tracks from Ronnie Montrose, Steve Stevens, Kiss, Scorpions, and Black Sabbath. I also include another new track from my favorite new Northern Ireland band Screaming Eagles.

Hour 3 – The final hour features even more great guitar players. This show is full of them. Ted Nugent, Richie Kotzen, Joe Bonamassa, Jimi Hendrix, Billy Gibbons, Leslie West, and Gary Moore to just name a few. New music from The Temperance Movement and North & King round out the hour.

Episode 16 – Built With Stolen Parts…

Thank you for the huge response to last weeks episode with Scott Holiday of the Rival Sons! I am glad that so many of you found something great about the show and their music. I had a near religious experience this past Tuesday when I got to see the band live in a small club in Indianapolis. Truly an unbelievable performance, as good as the very first time that I saw them, if not better. I hope that we see and hear much more from this band in the future, wake up America! Everyone else is already getting it!

Hour 1 – This weeks episode starts off with a strong hour of heavy rockers, and features new music from Bad Barber, Winery Dogs, Oliva, and the debut of the new track from Alter Bridge. Myles and company have a new album coming out called FORTRESS, and the first single is “Addicted To Pain” which you get to enjoy here. Check out the track from Australia’s Tracer, and the title track to Trouble’s last album with vocalist Eric Wagner, “Simple Mind Condition”. I close this hour with a great unplugged version of “I Will Remember” from Queensryche.

Hour 2 – New music from Pat Travers Band, Love And A .38, Graveyard, and our friends in Monster Truck, who I had the chance to see live a few times in the last couple of weeks. I include a little live block in this hour with some classics from Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and Deep Purple as well.

Hour 3 – This hour is loaded with some more great new tracks from Black Star Riders, Daniel Davies, Orchid, StoneRider, Scorpion Child, Ugly Kid Joe, and Screaming Eagles. I also include a few classics from Cinderella, Robin Trower, and Whitesnake.

Enjoy this weeks episode and be sure to drop me your comments at pete@thenoizefaktory.com, or leave some thoughts comments, or whatever else might be on your mind at our Facebook or Twitter pages.

Rival Sons – “Get What’s Coming”

This is one of the tracks from the Rival Sons self-titled EP, “Get What’s Coming”.  This is a really cool video clip of the band performing for what appears to be a video shoot.  This is a great quality pro shot video, for a killer song.

Enjoy!
