Episode 44 – I’m Gonna Set You Free

noizefaktoryHello all, I think you might enjoy this weeks episode, its all over the place as far as music goes, but what else would you expect from your online home of the rock!  Or from a guy who is seldom in one place for more than two days.  I recorded this show in blustery Niagara Falls, and am now sitting in Atlantic City.  Always on the move.

Hour 1 – No artist causes more conversation and controversy then Uncle Ted!  So why not start the show off with his classic “Snakeskin Cowboys”?  There is no denying that he and Derek St. Holmes wrote some great stuff together.  This first hour has new music, and a first time ever play on the Noize Faktory from Winger, yes Winger!  Recently making the top 5 on a list of musicians that you would never think were actually musical geniuses these players are finally getting a little bit of their due.  Not only are they great players, but the couple of guys from the band that I have had some dealings with are incredibly gracious and hysterical!  Take a listen, I think you might be impressed.  Sebastian Bach has a new record coming out soon as well, and we debut the first track from it called “Temptation” in this hour as well.  I am really liking this one, he has some great co-writers and guests on this record, and this first track rocks.  The hour is full of songs from Year Long Disaster, Slash’s Snakepit, COC, Stone Machine, The Answer, Black Star Riders, and Shannon Curfman as well.

Hour 2 – I start this hour off with another band that I have never played on the show, Stryper!  Yes I know, many of you are probably thinking I have lost my mind, but give it a listen.  They have a new record out called NO MORE HELL TO PAY, and they do a rocked out cover of the Doobie Brothers’ classic “Jesus Is Just Alright”.  Very well done!  Later in the hour I debut a new band from the UK that I recently stumbled upon called Cage The Gods.  These guys are pretty powerful, and the track I play for you is called “Bruce Willis”.  I also play some tunes from my Swedish friends in Bad Barber, Blue Oyster Cult, Chris Buck & Tony Montana, Clutch (thanks to my friend Mark for finally opening my eyes to this incredible band), Blue Murder (dedicated to Mr. Myles Kennedy), Europe, and Queensryche.  I close the show with a track from Tesla’s debut record (Niagara Falls is the home of the Nikola Tesla museum, go check it out!) so I thought that “Before My Eyes” was a good way to wrap things up!

Episode 43 – Play The Singles It Ain’t Me, It’s Programmed Insanity

noizefaktoryHello all, welcome to another edition of the Noize Faktory, your online home for everything rock!  We have a couple of debuts this week on the show, including a brand new tune from The Rival Sons, whose new album GREAT WESTERN VALKYRIE hits stores in June, and the new single from California Breed, the new band featuring Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham, and Andrew Watt.

I ramble on about corporate rock radio and the ongoing nonsense surrounding Kiss being inducted into the hall of fame, and for once Eddie Trunk and I disagree on something.

The show opens with a track from Aerosmith, and the title of this weeks episode comes from this tune, I find it very fitting!

Hour 1 –

1) No Surprize – Aerosmith
2) Four Day Creep – Humble Pie
3) Don’t Ever Let Me Go – Leslie West
4) Stone Rose – Mach 22
5) Gambler – Whitesnake
6) Six Feet Deeper – Winery Dogs
7) Sweet Tea – California Breed
8) 20th Century Boy – T. Rex
9) Only Friend – The Temperance Movement
10) War Machine – The Red Dragon Cartel

Hour 2 –

1) Thief In The Night – Kiss
2) Tears Are Falling – Kiss
3) Domino – Kiss
4) Winter Sun – The Treatment
5) Never Not – Nine O’Clock Gun
6) Mountains Of Steel – Orchid
7) Babylon – Tom Keifer
8) Just Got Paid – ZZ Top
9) Smooth Dancer – Deep Purple
10) Electric Man – The Rival Sons

Episode 42 – My Dream Is Still Alive

Welcome back to the Noize Faktory, and thank you all for tuning in.  We have some killer songs for you this week, and I hope a few things that are going to be new and exciting to you.  I missed last week while out at sea for a little work excursion, but came back with some new music for you all to listen to.

Sit back and enjoy the next couple hours, and send me some of your thoughts at pete@

Hour 1 – So the show opens this week with one of my favorite classic Queensryche tracks, “Best I Can”, and then right into the title track from my all time favorite Sabbath record, “Heaven And Hell”.  Not a bad way to start!  I have some new music from Monster Truck, Pat Travers Band, a new band called The Treatment who I am digging into now, and something from a band called Hush N’ Rush.  Classic Rock Magazine keeps opening up some killer stuff for me, and I am here to share it with you.   I also have a great track from Shannon Curfman for you called “Playing With Fire”, The Rival Sons are in this hour as well, along with Motley Crue, and Aerosmith.

Hour 2 – Not to be outdone, hour two kicks off with a super group of epic proportions called Kings Of Chaos, and their version of the Deep Purple cut “Never Before”, more info on this band in the show, LISTEN!  I debut a demo from the band Honey out of Dallas, TX, a track from English Thorn (Classic Rock strikes again!), and another great new song from The Answer.  This hour also features Hendrix, StoneRider, Slash Feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, The Scream, Brand New Sin, and an incredible track from Badlands.
