Episode 35 – Always Living In The Final Hour

This weeks episode of The Noize Faktory was a fun one to put together.  I have included lots of classics in this show, songs that you all know and love, some different versions of them, some cover version, some traditional classic cuts.

Hour 1 – Wolfmother opens the show with their song “Joker And The Thief”, a great opening track, lots of power and groove.  I include a track from Walking Papers, a rare bonus track from our friends in Monster Truck, a new song from Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra which is featured in the film AMERICAN HUSTLE, and the debut of a new track from Bad Barber’s independent release.   The hour also features Billy Gibbons’ take on the Beatles classic “Revolution”, The Sweet, and Deep Purple.

Hour 2 – The soundtrack to MTV News throughout the late 80’s and 90’s opens this hour, Megadeth’s “Peace Sells”.  I found a great live version of Rival Sons “Manifest Destiny”, and an incredible demo track from Steve Marriott and Peter Frampton which was the last recording Steve made before his passing.  Humble Pie was planning on reuniting and he and Frampton had begun work on new material, these songs can be found on Steve Marriott’s I NEED YOUR LOVE release which came out last year.  The hour also features Guns N Roses, Scorpion Child, Aerosmith, Mountain, StoneRider, and The Temperance Movement.

Hour 3 – I send you on a little trip back to the 1980’s for part of this hour with classic tracks from Twisted Sister, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, and White Zombie.  But in the spirit of keeping you guessing I include some new tracks from Billy Idol, Europe, and Bruce Kulick, as well as some songs from The Answer and The Screaming Eagles.  They all sound pretty good together.

The Noize Faktory is not the same 3 songs from the same 5 bands!

Episode 34 – Will Time Make Men More Wise?

The Noize Faktory returns with our 34th episode!

Hour 1 – Black Stone Cherry gets us started this week with their take on a Yardbirds classic, and I follow that up with a couple of other covers to compliment it.  There is new music from The Temperance Movement and The Screaming Eagles in hour 1, along with tracks from King’s X, Kadavar, Bruce Kulick, and Coverdale/Page just to name a few.  Leslie West closes the hour with an amazing new track called “Not Over You At All”.

Hour 2 – Queensryche opens the hour, followed by a track from Slash Feat Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, and Damon Johnson’s Slave To The System.  A rare album cut from The Scorpions featuring Uli Roth on guitar, The Winery Dogs, Vince Neil & Steve Stevens, a little AC/DC, and The Cult fill the hour.  There is a track from The Answer that made Classic Rock’s top 50 songs of 2013 list, and a track from Brand New Sin called “Infamous”.

Hour 3 – I play you some new music from Love And A .38 and Mach 22 to start the hour, but the rest of this hour is full of classic tracks, some well known, some not so much.  I have Stephen Pearcy, Thin Lizzy, Tommy Bolin, Tony Montana, Vandeburg, Tygers Of Pan Tang, and Kiss.

Episode 33 – I Could Feel The Sound Of Writing On The Wall

Welcome to 2014!   Hopefully you all had a great holiday season, and the start to the new year has been a good one.  If there is any doubt in your mind, then this new episode of The Noize Faktory should correct all of your troubles, sarcasm free of charge!

Hour 1 – The show opens with Rainbow’s “Long Live Rock N Roll”, Rival Sons, Aerosmith, and a new track from The Answer.  I have another new track from The Dead Daisies for you, and more music from Badlands, Brother Cane, Great White, UFO, and a great live track from Deep Purple from their new live set PERFECT STRANGERS LIVE 1984.

Hour 2 – I introduce you to a young band from Australia called The Delta Rigs, some new music from Heart, Walking Papers, Leslie West, and The Dirty Streets.  The hour is laced with classic tracks and album cuts from Cheap Trick, Def Leppard, Year Long Disaster, Voodooland, and Humble Pie.

Hour 3 – The 3rd and final hour of this weeks show opens with a cool live cut from Sabbath’s GATHERED IN THEIR MASSES DVD/Blu Ray release, along with some rarel demo tracks from Motley Crue, Kiss, and a very rare rehearsal recording of the original Montrose line up.   I also give you some new tracks from Monster Truck and Scorpion Child.
